Slow the Fuck Down
Everything is about speed. Got an idea? Ship it. Something seems to work? Scale it. Move the stuff on the Kanban board to Done. Get rapid feedback. Fail fast. Iterate. Iterate again.
But some things just take time.
Thinking about the problem takes time.
Understanding the problem takes time.
Having an idea about the problem takes time.
Understanding your idea about the problem takes time.
Sharing your idea on the problem takes time.
Understanding what others think about the problem takes time.
Going into the details takes time.
Collecting evidence takes time.
Finding a solution takes time.
Agreeing on a solution takes time.
Please. Slow down.
Leave it In Progress for a little longer. Maybe even move it back to To Do. Violate your Work In Progress Limits. Tinker with it. Let it sit while you get distracted with something else.
We don't need more speed. Deliberation takes time. Our minds are slower than we'd like them to be.

Yeah, I know, the 2000s knocked and wanted to show you their ideas about knowledge navigation, but I really like those graphs, even if they are not the most practical instruments, plus I actually developed a network-based knowledge management system called 'Serendipity' back in the day, so please stop making fun of me.
