LET’S BE FWENDS ISSUE #93:
USER RESEARCH AND AGILE
“Civilization will reach maturity only when it learns to value diversity of character and of ideas.”
~ Arthur C. Clarke
This edition of Let’s be Fwends deals with user research in Agile (and how to bring the two together), what “being rich” in the age of digital capitalism actually means, why hyperlinks are blue (if they still are), what we can learn by looking at the dots in our writing, and finally provides you with a handy chart in case you and a loved one needs a little pep talk.
User Research and Agile

Scrum (and, to some extend, most agile practices) is notoriously delivery-happy. It’s no wonder that more often than not, the discovery part, and the tools that are typically used in product discovery, feel alien to it. Which might be one of the reasons why so many scrum teams move user research (and product discovery as a whole) into “Product Owner Land”. Here’s a good article on how to incorporate user research into an agile practice.
How Rich is “Rich”?

If your answer is: “Filthy Rich”, then you’re mistaken. The word you’re looking for is “unbelievably”. Try spending the wealth of Elon Musk(164 billion dollars) or Bill Gates(100 Billion Dollars). It’s nearly impossible.
Why are Hyperlinks Blue?

I love rabbit holes. Elise Blanchard goes down one to find out why hyperlinks are blue, since when, and who made that fateful decision.
Just the Punctuation

The structure of your writing tells you a lot about the way you think. “Just the Punctuation” is a great tool to see how you build your sentences: It strips everything away, except the punctuation.
Champ, what you got going on should be taught in school, period.

Know someone who could use some cheering up? Use this very handy Pep Talk Generator to create a one-of-its-kind pep talk for everyone who needs it.
That’s it from this edition of Let’s Be Fwends. Fact: Whatever your secret is gets the party hopping, you hidden gem. 💎
